Absolutely beautiful place! Lot's of nice shops you can get a lot of groceries: vegetables, other unpacked food (such as nuts, oats...), microgreens and countless others. A lot of those offers are organic. After or before shopping - as you like - you could chose the offer of taking a coffe or tea or get some food at the restaurant.

It offers everything you could want, but currently the entrance is only at the back because the market square is being renovated. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and you can always find someone to chat with. The food at most of the stalls is also very high quality and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.

The Herford market hall, after its renovation, is definitely worth a visit (or several). It's very tastefully and modernly furnished. Small stalls sell high-quality goods. Not always cheap, but still reasonable. A clear recommendation for the food if you're looking for a bite to eat in Herford. Insider tip: the homemade fries at the (wild game) butcher's. Absolutely delicious!
