€1.50 for that. This is my second time at this ice cream parlor, and both times the ice cream was the same size. For €1.50, it's really not worth the money, and the staff wasn't particularly friendly; in fact, they looked grumpy. Not worth the money at all 🥲 Maybe it was just a one-off? (You can see the ice cream in the picture, and it wasn't crammed into the cone!)

I'm from Herten, or even better, Disteln! 😉 I'm 49 years old and I can't imagine the sadly, sadly dreary city center, which I experienced in its heyday in the 80s and 90s, without Calamini (including the mobile ice cream man) and Ciprian. During my apprenticeship at Ellis from '94 to '98, I was there very, very often. For all three and a half years, I always ordered the same thing. Always! One water, one orange juice, and one espresso, and I always sat in the same spot. Never a "same as always?" and never a smile, especially since I always put 10 DM on the tray, leaving a 2.50 DM tip. The price-performance ratio is unfortunately not right. A spaghetti ice cream for €8.50, and you only get two scoops of vanilla ice cream with a little bit of whipped cream. Very disappointing.

The ice cream was delicious 😋. Very friendly service. We sat outside; a few umbrellas would be nice. We enjoyed our visit.
