Johanna Siskar★★★★★

Friendly Service, welcoming and lovely place. The best German hot cacao drink I have had (good enough to celebrate a cacao ceremony). Food was delicious. I met a dear friend here and it was lovely, the place has been there many many years. Family owned, clean and beautiful.

I visited the place recently and unfortunately it is nothing that it was 3 years ago. The staff is unfriendly and rude and the breakfast is overpriced. I had to pay extra 2 euros because I wanted a fried egg instead of a hard boiled one in additional to the 12 euros. No wonder they are selling the place. I even talked to the owner. She was very impolite. I didn’t have the feeling it gave me 3 years ago where It was heartwarming because of the decor. To me it was more like a haunted house…

The most delicious place for Kuchen! It's a must in Recklinghausen. They are also pet friendly.

Stephen Mark Bevan★★★★★

A tiny cafe with huge character, you will need to book in advance. Super menu that rather to big. Well worth a visit if not just for the homely atmosphere and great staff.
