When here for an evening meal with my wife and her friend. Had a lovely meal in the garden area. The food was plentiful fresh and well presented. Taste was very good on the 3 different meals ordered. Ranges of drinks was very good with some excellent beers. The owners and their family run the hotel and restaurant and great customers like old friends. I would highly recommend the restaurant.

Highly recommended. A lovely family-run establishment with a particularly pleasant atmosphere, especially in the beautiful beer garden. The staff is friendly and competent. I'd give the phone staff zero stars if I could. Extremely unfriendly, I've never experienced anything like it. They twist your words, make a fuss, and ask why you want to cherry-pick the best parts. I certainly don't want to book or stay there if the staff are so unfriendly and disrespectful.

Unfortunately, my stay at the Hotel Specht in Witten was disappointing overall. Initially, the hotel didn't have enough rooms despite our booking two months in advance. There was clearly visible mold in the bathroom, which I found very unhygienic. Furthermore, the bed was badly damaged, creaking with every movement and collapsing completely in the evenings, making a restful sleep impossible. Despite these issues, we were charged extra for a room change.
