Cafe Chavela in Cantonments is officially one of my new favorite spots. Randomly found this place after driving by a few times. It’s in a perfect location. The space is small but beautifully designed. It’s sleek, warm, and very inviting. It feels cozy without feeling cramped, and there’s lots of natural sunlight which makes the space feel even more welcoming. I also love that it’s not freezing cold like some other cafés. The staff was very attentive and the food came out quickly. I had a latte that was the perfect pick-me-up, along with a breakfast wrap and avocado toast. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. I also had the pleasure of meeting the beautiful owner and witnessing how she pours into and uplifts her staff, which was refreshing to see in Accra (if you know, you know). Great vibes and great service. I will definitely be back! ❤️

Really appreciated Kimmy’s friendly and warm service and accommodations for the vegetarians in our group - we could have pancakes with fruit salad instead of sausages 🌟 Delicious! I had a wonderful experience at Cafe Chavela. From the moment I arrived, the service stood out; Kimi, our waitress, was incredibly helpful, humble, and always ready to serve with a warm attitude that made the visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, with soft instrumental music playing at a volume that’s perfect whether you’re taking phone calls, watching Netflix while you eat, or simply waiting for your order. The café also offers Wi-Fi, which makes it a great place to work, relax, or catch up with friends. The food was exceptional. My overall experience was phenomenal! Also, it’s perfect for meetings and computer-friendly if you work from home! Coffee was top-tier, and steak and eggs were delightful :) Update: Second vist and it did not disappoint I tried the breakfast wrap with their fresh orange juice and it was delicious ! Absolutely horrid food. I paid over 600 cedis (£44GBP) for this absolute mess. The sausages looked horrible , and the fruit was frozen and soggy. This is not a true representation of an American/ English breakfast. The price is certainly not justified. The quality of the food is so poor honestly. £45 for 2 people is a good price for brunch in the UK, except you get so much more for what you’re paying. The ambience is the restaurant is nice but the food quality is abysmal. Photo 1- Is the slop I was served at this establishment Photo 2-4- A true representation of brunch in the UK from 3 different restaurants! These restaurants are priced cheaper than Cafe Chavela!!!
