Visited Kake Di Hatti in Chandni Chowk for lunch, and it turned out to be a great food experience. The restaurant is located on the first floor, and the biggest downside is the very steep staircase (around 70–80°), which can be difficult for elderly people or anyone with mobility issues. Also, like most places in Chandni Chowk, the area is extremely congested, and parking is a major challenge. That said, once you reach the restaurant, the experience is worth it. The ambience is clean, comfortable, and pleasant. We ordered the Amritsari Thali, which included chole, shahi paneer, and boondi raita—everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The Chole Bhature was equally delicious, with perfectly cooked bhature and tasty chole. To complete the meal, we had chaas and sweet lassi, both of which were refreshing and excellent in taste. Overall, if you're visiting Chandni Chowk and don't mind the steep stairs and crowded surroundings, Kake Di Hatti is definitely worth trying for its au

I was walking aimlessly and saw this establishment and the showcase up front housing samosas and these deep fried triangular things, which I kept seeing in other stores. I mustered the courage to ask for it, then was ushered inside. The waiters didn’t speak English so I gestured and successfully was served this 40 rupee delight—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a flavor bursting potato (and rice?) filling speckled with mildish green chili. The complimentary green and red sauce were fantastic too.

Visited Kake Di Hatti and had a fantastic experience. The place is rightly famous for its giant, stuffed naans soft, heavy, and packed with delicious filling, making them extremely satisfying. The dosa was crisp and well-made. We also loved the masala tea, which was perfectly spiced and comforting, and the lassi was thick, creamy, and very refreshing. Despite being a busy spot, the quality of food and taste really stood out. Definitely a must-visit in Chandni Chowk for authentic, hearty food and classic flavors.

It's an old jewel of old Delhi.... vegetarian but does have some alcohol options in drinks. It's a family dining. We sat on the ground floor itself and ordered stuffed chur chur naan, dhuandhar naan, chole, dal makhni, chai and fresh lime soda. The naans were well prepared. Dhuandhar naan had about a thali full of green chilli and if this was still less then it had degi mirch....we really couldn't eat this...😱. But rest order was extremely well made and served. Nizwan attended us with careful non offensive friendly behaviour...we enjoyed our interactions with him. One must go to this place if the best thing one wants to do is sleep after stomach is full.

It’s an mesmerising restaurant to visit with friends and family, despite the streets being too crowded and stairs too high. We ordered amristsari kulcha, butter garlic naan, malai kofta and paneer lababdar and all of the items were a fine dine and cost was approx 1500 for a group of 4 adults and 1 child. The staffs were also very well behaved and understanding. I would surely recommend a visit.

Kake Di Hatti in Chandni Chowk is truly an absolute gem for North Indian food lovers. Known far and wide for its giant naans, butter-loaded dal makhani, and rich, creamy paneer gravies, this iconic eatery perfectly captures the soul of Old Delhi’s timeless flavours. The portions are massive, the food is always fresh, and the taste is simply unbeatable. Despite being a pure vegetarian restaurant, the dishes are so hearty, indulgent, and flavour-packed that even hardcore non-vegetarians won’t feel the absence of meat. One of the best parts is the quick and friendly service. Even with a constant crowd, the staff manages things efficiently, which is impressive for such a busy location. Yes, the place does get quite crowded, especially on weekends, and the seating is a bit cramped — but honestly, that’s part of the authentic Chandni Chowk experience. The prices are very reasonable, considering both the quality and the generous quantity served. 📍 Location: Near Fatehpuri, Chandni Chowk, Old

If you’re heading to Kake Di Hatti in Chandni Chowk, come with an empty stomach and a sense of humor. Let’s talk about the "Baby Naan"—calling it "baby" is the culinary prank of the century. It is absolutely huge, easily enough to feed two (or one very ambitious eater). The Food The Naan: Despite the size, it’s cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Freshness: You can tell the food hasn't been sitting around. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and authentic. Flavor: It’s that rich, hearty North Indian flavor that hits the spot every single time. The Vibe & Service Street Food Realism: If you’re looking for white tablecloths and fine china, keep walking. This place has a typical street food vibe. It’s loud, it’s cramped, and it’s not exactly "high-end clean," but that’s part of the charm. Efficiency: For such a busy spot, I was impressed by how quick the service was. They get the food out hot and fast. Final Verdict This is easily one of the best options to e

Kake Di Hatti is one of those iconic places you’ve probably heard a lot about, so we made sure to visit the original outlet where it all started. There’s definitely a sense of nostalgia and legacy attached to the place, which makes the visit feel a bit special in itself. We ordered their famous king-size Amritsari kulcha along with aloo-onion kulchas, paired with butter paneer and dal makhani. While the portions were generous and the presentation was decent, the overall taste felt fairly average. The food wasn’t bad by any means, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype that surrounds the place. The flavors were okay, just nothing that really stood out or made the meal memorable. It’s still worth visiting once, especially for the experience of being at such a well-known spot, but if you’re going in with very high expectations, you might find it a bit underwhelming. Overall, more about the legacy than the food itself.
