Food was delicious! It was not too spicy for a foreigner. The staff was very helpful and provided suggestions as well as answers to all questions. I really enjoyed the Fish Tikka! Everything was delicious though. Would definitely love to come back and highly recommend!

Had a wonderful dinner at Native. The place is spacious with a warm, woody, rustic vibe and dim lighting. The food was delicious and came in generous portions. Service was friendly and quick. Did not visit the bar downstairs but it seemed pretty.

For the first time I enjoyed a meal without being exposed to loud noise or bad music in the background. I don't know if it's the people or the location but the atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm and quiet which is a rare find in Mumbai. We were able to enjoy our scrumptious food and delicious cocktails in peace. The ambiance of Native is contemporary and rustic at the same time. I love how they retained the skeleton structure of the building and infused modern elements to give an elegant facade. The staff were polite, friendly, and professional and the place is well maintained. However, I will tip my hat to the talented chef who created such culinary wonders. We had a wonderful time dining here.

We ordered the prawn and calamari broth, mutton chops and the bhindi. Went here expecting great stuff. The broth and the prawn calamari still retained their fishy flavour. Not good at all. The baguette wasn’t fresh. The ends were hard. The mutton chops- I can’t put my finger on it. It was done beautifully. Soft meat. And no taste. Something about the spicing prolly. Got this packed - might fix it at home. Bhindi - deep fried. And salt overload. We sent it back. Overall quite disappointing. The pics are beautiful coz my friend is a committed photographer - the food alarmingly mediocre. They were gracious enough to not charge us for the bhindi. My friend and I got into a discussion about cooking with skill and cooking with heart. The skill was all there here, every dish was cooked right technically. But I feel there was no heart in it. Friend said it’s maybe coz the chefs aren’t as experienced yet.

We came two times to the restaurant and tried multiple foods. We had both, veg and non vegetarian food. All was very good. Overall, the food and anbiete was very nice! Afzal was our waiter and he did also a great job. Very attentive and we even got to try some food on the house! Highly recommended, alcohol has western prices, but food is very good value for money! :)

Dinner last night was @nativebombay with "family". ❤️🧿 Mini Naan Bombs - If you're fond of cheese dont, just dont, miss this. Theyre served piping hot with oozy cheese. Sigh! Maska Prawns - Four huge prawns. Succulent and top notch in flavour. The butter sauce was amazingly moreish. Seared Scallops - Perfectly seared, not overcooked at all. A dish i always order. I do avoid eating the greens, though. 🙈 Kokum & Chili Pork Belly - Absolute melt-in-the-mouth oink belly, in a kokum-chili sauce that was subtle yet yum! The silken mash as an accompaniment was perfect! This dish was sent out to us by the chef as he wanted us to try it. Prawns & Calamari - Both variants of seafood were spot on in texture, but the star of this dish was that rich broth. OMG! Jaan leva! Btw, this dish was also sent over by the chef. Naga Chili Pork with Cotton Kulcha - If you are someone who can tolerate crazy amount of spice/heat, then order this blindly. I feel like writing volumes about this dish, but

Couldn’t recommend Native Bombay highly enough. The service was first class and the food surpassed all expectations. In particular, the fried okra, puffed rice Bhel salad, naan bomb and butter chicken were delicious. We also had wonderful loose leaf tea and a magnificent chocolate dessert. The ambience was so relaxing and it was a little oasis in the middle of the day. We would have returned time and time if it wasn’t our last day.
