“Cleanliness issue , taste not so good, price is high as comparison to quality. They asked for option of oil or butter: se choose butter ; but at the time of billing, they added it extra per items. For 2 dosa we paid 600/-. Taste and quality is not good. So not recommended.”

Harsh Kamaliya★★★★★My recent visit to Udupi King in Ahmedabad was a truly delightful experience. The restaurant's ambiance is clean and inviting, with a classic, no-fuss charm that lets the food shine. I've heard great things about their South Indian offerings, and they certainly lived up to the hype. The Gunpowder Idli was a standout—perfectly soft and coated in a flavorful, spicy podi masala. The filter coffee was also a must-have, a strong and aromatic finish to the meal. While some reviews mention higher prices, the quality and authentic taste make it worth it for a genuine South Indian feast. The service was prompt and the staff was courteous, adding to the positive dining experience. If you're looking for a reliable spot for delicious South Indian vegetarian food in Ahmedabad, Udupi King is a great choice.
parth sheth★★★★★Absolute perfection if you're craving genuine South Indian flavors. The dosas are shatteringly crisp, the idlis are pillowy-soft, and the sambar has the perfect tangy kick. Don't leave without trying their authentic, frothy filter coffee—it’s the ultimate finisher. Fast service, clean space, and incredibly satisfying!
Sayali Telang★★★★★An amazing experience from start to finish. The food was authentic, with each dish capturing the true essence of South Indian cuisine. The flavours were well-balanced, fresh, and comforting, just like a traditional home-style meal. The filter coffee deserves a special mention. Overall, a wonderful place for anyone who appreciates authentic South Indian food. Highly recommended.
Chartha Gaglani★★★★★Wonderful food. Had Rava Dosas and it was great. Hospitality was lovely.
Subhankar Dey★★★★★Bit expensive for South Indian dish.. Food is good. I had Rava Onion Masala Dosa
Pathan Arshad Khan★★I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I ordered a masala dosa and was asked whether I wanted it made with ghee, oil, or butter. However, there was no mention of any additional charges for this choice beforehand. To my surprise, I was charged 55 for ghee and for the service without being informed in advance—around 12-15 rupees extra, which felt unfair. The taste of the masala dosa was just okay, but the overall experience was marred by the unexpected charges. Transparency in pricing and communication about extra fees would have made a big difference. I won’t be returning anytime soon unless these issues are addressed.
