Matthew Hughes★★★★★In a city filled to the brim with tourists, sometimes you need a secret place to get away from it all. Caffè del Verone is a hidden gem. While you can pay a lot of money for a rooftop bar, Caffè del Verone is downright inexpensive. The space sits atop the Istituto degli Innocenti. You access the space via a non-discript elevator just off the square. It is marked, but you have to look for it. Caffè del Verone offers one of Florence's most picturesque panoramic terraces including a view of the Duomo Dome. Great drinks with a full bar, lots of coffees, teas and other non-alcoholic beverages
Heinrich Bierman★★★★★Nice selection of pastries with a great views of the city. Very friendly and child friendly staff. Quiet as well when you just want to enjoy a nice break with good views.
Esther Pflug★★★★★This café is a hidden gem, a shaded 5th floor wraparound balcony that has spectacular views of Florence, including the Duomo. It was almost empty and quiet in the middle of the day, which was a wonderful relief from the mad crowds of Central Florence. Despite the heat, we sat outside, but you can sit inside where it is air-conditioned if you prefer. The prices are not outrageous considering the location unlike other rooftop cafés we visited during our Florence stay. I couldn’t believe that it didn’t seem to be better known and would definitely come back anytime. I visited Florence.
Cory Sakai★★★★★One of the best kept secret coffee spots with a great view in Florence. Enter at the far right side when facing the building and take the elevator or stairs to the top.
