I have never experienced such rude service in all my time living in Italy. One of the waitresses tried to dictate everything—from where we should sit to how long we could stay. She kept giving us 'side-eyes' and intentionally making noise near our table as a signal for us to leave, only 15 minutes after we sat down. This cafe has lost a customer for good. I urge management to retrain their staff on basic hospitality and how to treat customers with respect.

As a new visitor to Pavia, I didn’t know what to expect. Everyone greeted me with Bon giorno. I had two focaccia with green olive and another with tomato, along with a cappuccino. Delightful!
