September 2025. Great casual meal situated along the main road towards Colosseum. So don't expect too much from quality and service. Food was fine, simple and decent. Perfect for a quick bite and nothing spectacular. Service was average probably because they were busy, tired and overwhelmed by tourists like us. Then again, all the restaurants and cafes along that street is the same. We picked this one because it was bigger and we were able to get a table. Luck of the draw. I would recommend it for a simple lunch.

I love La Base! This is my second time in Rome and my FOURTH time coming to this restaurant! The vibes are so warm and cozy, the decor is super cute as well. I love the food and the prices are amazing, especially considering the location close to the colosseum. I also appreciate that they list the allergens on the menu, it is very helpful. They offer a huge hugo spritz and it is very tasty and good for the money. My favorite dish is the pesto Gnocchi!

GO TO LA BASE!!! Best BEST food we ate in Rome, we went back 2x for dinner and once more for dessert because nothing else could compare for that price. I can't remember the exact name, but the Market Place pasta was to die for (mushroom and truffle pasta), along with the four cheese penne pasta. The tiramisu and chocolate cake was excellent as well. Shout out to Vikam (I'm sorry if i get his name wrong but i know thats close) for excellent service every time, and everyone else in the restaurant was also lovely. It has a Cool atmosphere as well, with art all over the walls and fun mood lighting
