The River Café is located inside Karura Forest, one of Nairobi’s urban forests off Limuru road, across the road from the Belgium Embassy. An al fresco restaurant, the Café boasts panoramic forest views with wide open spaces and high ceilings.

The setting is beautiful, with an open-air seating area surrounded by nature, making it a peaceful escape from the city. Their coffee is excellent, and they also serve a good selection of food, ice creams, beers, and other drinks. The cheesecake is particularly delicious, and while the pizza was decent, the overall dining experience more than makes up for it. One of the most memorable parts of visiting was even spotting a deer nearby, which added to the charm of the place.
