“Very cool cafe. I like the industrial design inside. Tables, chairs, floor, upstairs, all design are unified. The avocado toast was very good and cold coffee as well. At 8:00am on Sunday morning, there were not so many people, yet. You can easily find tables, I guess.”
“I found this place while looking for a cafe that opens early in the morning. I ordered an iced brewed coffee and French toast. The highlight was definitely the French toast—easily the best I've ever had! The staff were also incredibly kind, which made for a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere.”
“These guys really know what they are doing when it comes to making good quality coffee! This coffee house is located in a beautifully restored old house with a gorgeous little terrace at the back. I'll definitely be returning in the future on my next trip to KL.”

Charles Lee★★★★★Visited VCR recently and it’s easy to see why it remains one of the city’s most popular café spots. The café has a great vibe and atmosphere, blending a heritage-inspired space with modern café aesthetics. The environment feels lively yet comfortable, making it a nice place for brunch, coffee, or simply spending a slow morning in the city. I ordered the Turkish Style Eggs, which came with rich pomodoro sauce, chickpeas, 63-degree eggs, chipolata sausage, Greek yogurt, pistachios, and flaxseed sourdough toast. The dish was packed with layers of flavour and texture, with the tanginess of the yogurt balancing the richness of the tomato sauce and eggs beautifully. The sourdough tied everything together nicely, making it a hearty and satisfying meal. Overall, a café that delivers both on ambience and food quality, making it a worthwhile spot for a relaxing brunch experience.
Dave Hungerford★★★★★Our first visit to KL. We found VCR and really like it. The crab sandwich is tasty, properly crispy, just right. My wife got the sourdough with smoked salmon & egg. She loved it. Excellent iced coffee and latte. Very reasonable pricing. Took home a loaf of their sourdough and a tiramisu! Friendly staff. We will go back again!
Firdause Jesfrydi★★★This place got the hipster and kalcer vibe. A comfortable place to sit in. As for the coffee, i ordered cappucino, and it has this slight sharp sourness that I can taste, but the foam texture is okay, not that smooth, but it's okay and has that sufficient creamy taste. For the banana cake, I can't finish it because it's chewy and dry. I tried to give it few more bites, but I just can't. For the price, I don't think it's justified. But overall experience, it's okay, the staffs were nice. The music was good. The ordering system was proper.

Ziyaad Ben Eydatoula★★★★★One of our first meals in Malaysia, this was for breakfast. The place was well run, and had a good vibe with a good amount of locals there when we arrived, which is always a good sign. Ordering was simple, the food was compelling and we opted for the softshell crab burger and the chicken & waffles. Both hit the mark, great balance for both dishes. The chicken was thigh meat which added to the juiciness even more. Lemonades were on point too. All in all, highly recommend for breakfast or for doing some early morning work on your laptop, for anyone close by. You have a range of different areas you could choose to sit in, depending on the atmosphere you want: front yard, inside, upstairs with all the people in the bigger room, upstairs in the more quiet area as well.
Saya A★★★I honestly don’t know why this cafe has earned such a high review. Pasta was just normal, orange juice was great though. We even felt pressured to leave the cafe before 7:30pm.
