What people say
“Great ambience with two floors. The service was great and the food was good. You do pay a premium for the upscale vibe, but it's well worth it if you don't trust the small local places.”
“Ordered a spicy Buddha bowl, something vegetarian for me, and I like it, it was crunchy and soft and flavourful, probably will recommend to eat with fresh chili but that’s of course to your liking.”

Mary★★★★★Nepali breakfast here feels like pure comfort and joy — the fresh juice comes in a big glass and is incredibly refreshing. The breakfast is so delicious and made with care, and one set is more than enough for two people to share. The coffee is rich and high quality, just perfect. The atmosphere is peaceful and warm, with beautiful music playing softly in the background — never too loud, just right. You can truly slow down and enjoy the moment here. The staff is very respectful, kind, and attentive, which makes the experience even more special. I absolutely love this place, it feels special every time. ✨ muri muri dhanyabaad 🦋🙏
Sergio Montemagno★★★★★This place is one of the best I visited during my vacation in Kathmandu. Mitho always offers a young and refined atmosphere, with very friendly, smiling, and professional staff. The food is consistently excellent, with a wide range of options from breakfast to dinner. You can also stop by just for a cup of black tea, an espresso coffee, or a draft beer! Wi-Fi is always available and free. The venue is spread over three floors, with simple yet super cool decor. Highly recommended— a place in Thamel for everyone!
Geoffrey Wolfe★★★★Such a nice balcony spot. Pretty good food. Exactly what you’d expect from a nice cafe. Has three levels. You can see from outside if there is balcony space. From there you can watch the street below and there’s an incredible tree as well. Also quiet open air back table or two on third floor away from the noise of the street. Or sit inside and get cool. Very affordable.
Athena Lin★★★★★This is the only time, only time, I will ever thank the tourists! This place was open despite the election day and we could not find any other restaurants open. We wanted to try their breakfast but we arrived too late - maybe the owner could specify the times. We got the Nepali dah Bhat and it was really good. We also got the biriyani. The YOGURT is worth coming here for, I saw a Korean couple who ordered another one. Tea was okay, it was the minced bagged kind. Peach tea was not too sweet! The Marsala tea didn't have the normal punch to it but maybe it's for the tourists - my partner likes to chew on the black pepper corns, if you know what I mean!
Marc Elzen Media★★★★★Great place, good portions and made with dedication. Great balanced flavors, everything we tried was worth it. We ended up coming here four days in a row for lunch. Smoothie bowls, chicken biryani, pasta salad, chicken wraps and the pancakes...! all fantastic. Service can be a bit staggered with dishes arriving at different times, but that’s normal for a small bistro. Coffee quickly became our daily go-to. Highly recommend

Phippster★★★★★This is by far the best restaurant in Kathmandu and one of my favorite restaurants worldwide. The variety of dishes kept me coming back for 6 visits during my visit to Nepal. They have wonderful salads with fresh vegetables and fruits, a variety of beans, cheese and dressings. Every item presented is seasoned to perfection and the portions are huge. It feels unreal to get so much food for such a great price. I also love their fresh mango smoothies and Mojitos. My only regret was not ordering the apple pie for dessert. In my last two visits they had always sold out before I arrived for my dinner — it’s that good and in high demand! Staff were excellent and since I became a regular over my visit the entire team would welcome me with big smiles and Namastays when I opened the door. The lighting is inviting and calming and they even light candles in the evening inviting you into the doors. Also have clean bathrooms with toilet paper. Balcony is a nice place to still be able to people wat
