Great ambiance, check! Friendly personnel, check! Starbucks coffee, check! To be honest, this Starbucks is a bit of a hidden gem. Located right at the bus station at Amersfoort Central Station. The personnel is attentive and proactive. There still was some seating available (around 2PM on a rainy Thursday afternoon) and there is a calm and nice vibe. Great to enjoy a drink and/or something to eat while working on stuff, or when you are waiting for your next bus/train to continue your journey.

Starbucks is generally known as a place where you can grab a coffee and get some work done. However, at this Starbucks, the staff blast music at an unreasonably loud level. I asked them to turn it down, since I could hear it through my headphones at nearly full volume. They told me they can’t turn it down, since the audio level is preset. What a load of nonsense.

I am here now. Despite the showcase products, you cannot buy anything to eat for breakfast. Croissants are finished and what is on display cannot be bought. Only display. Absurd.I have been to several Starbucks around the world. This one is terrible.
