First time at Guusje, As a local I've heard about Guusje's existence for quite some time but never actually went. A hip, cosy but little bit expensive place. The menu has a nice variety of vegan and non vegan options but no English menu unfortunately, no biggie. We ordered a carpaccio and kroket sandwich which arrived very quickly. This is a cafe I really enjoy sitting there with great coffee. The location is perfect, the coffee is amazing, the staff is super friendly, but only gets my 2 stars because of the food. We ordered one brunchtafel and one scones dish, and there came several disappointments. Firstly, I don’t think the chef knows what a scone is. Look at the pictures below, I would just call it a small bread with overloaded vanilla extract. Secondly, the croissant was very oily, dry and old.
