Kate V★★★★★Great place. Huge portions of very tasty sandwiches. Good coffee and friendly, attentive staff. I recommend visiting this cafe if you are walking around Den Helder
JJJ vD★★Had dinner here with family. We ordered bread for starters and a variety of main courses. The food was quite expensive for the quality you get. The bread was cold and stale and hard to swallow. The red snapper could have been prepared in many different ways but this place chose to pan fry it to the point that is became dry and not tasty. It's a pity. The strip steak (entrecote) was prepared as requested (medium rare) but it lacked it's signature taste (when the fatty rim is seared properly) The Dutch pancakes we ordered for our daughter was rock solid at some places and obviously prepacked an
paul badger★★Just had a meal tonight. Asked if there was a table for 1, and waited outside until it was confirmed. It was 5.30pm but busy. A nice young waitress took me to a table, where I ordered a rib eye (33 euros) and a glass of wine. I asked for medium, and on arrival it was pretty rare. Not great for a rib eye - it was chewy and still a bit fatty. Ordered a second glass of wine. Didn’t come. No water on table. Sat quietly and ate anyway. No sign of the wine so I finished and asked for the bill. A fairly surly young man came over and tried to charge for the second glass of wine. Explained that he hadn
Davey★★★Friendly staff, but weird they asked and served drinks before handing us menus after already being seated for 15 minutes. Food isn't great: the onion soup was kind of syrup-ey and too seasoned. The spinach ravioli portion was huge (too much to be honest), but bland in taste. They are very generous in portions and side dishes though, so it's a good place to go with friends if you don't mind mediocre food.
