We came quite early. At exactly 10:00 AM. We wanting to have brunch before continue our trip and this was the 2nd time we came to De Beren restaurant and only a happy customer 😀. No complain.

This restaurant is an excellent place to have lunch! Delicious food and the staff is incredibly polite. The place is esthetically pleasing and interesting at the same time. If you love bears (the animal) you'll surely appreciate it. Also, there is free parking on the roof. The lunch was very complete. Every dish has some lettuce and some other small extras. There is even a possibility to choose between old/young cheese and between white/brown bread. The food was served quickly and was still hot/warm. The coffee was delightful. Good food, a bit pricy and not a very wide selection of different dishes (we got the 3 course menu with 6 choices per course), bit certainly enough and also with vegetarian options. We were all satisfied and didn't overeat. Two small mistakes with ordering, but nothing to complain about, otherwise good service, nicely decorated restaurant and not overly noisy. Would recommend, solid 4 stars.

If you know your steak this is not the place for you. Their 75 euro signature tomahawk steak is sub par. Their chef does not know how to prepare red meat. Both the tomahawk and ribs were barley edible. The waiters where friendly and starters delicious but never never never get something from the grill. We will be back to give them one more try as they have a jumping castle for the kids, but will get something like fish or schnitzel.
