Rajat Srivastava★★★★As the name says it's primarily a Kerala restaurant but it serves north Indian, Chinese and Thai food also. I had Tomato rice, Egg masala and Malabar paratha for dinner and it tasted good. Service was timely, ambience was good and the place was quiet. Ended the food with a Malabar chai. Overall experience was nice.
Manu Ambadiveliyil (Manu Ambadiveliyil)★★★Stopped by Malabar Days in the Mabellah Industrial Area for a quick bite. The restaurant has a few parking slots available on two sides of the entrance, which is convenient in this busy locality. It’s a reasonably placed joint if you’re looking for Indian food options around here—but the overall experience was underwhelming. We tried the Beef Steak Sizzler and Parottas; the steak had an unusual taste that didn’t quite click. Even the Kerala meals were a letdown in terms of flavor and authenticity. Another downer was the thin plastic mats used on the tables—probably for easy cleaning, but they really took away from the dining feel and made the place look less appealing. While the menu covers a variety of Indian dishes, Malabar Days needs to level up on food quality and overall ambiance to stand out.
Stjepan Jelekovac★★★★★My Indian friends brought me here to experience authentic cuisine, and I was pleasantly surprised. Although Indian food is everywhere in Oman, I expected the usual heavy spices—but what arrived was expertly balanced and beautifully presented. The dishes were flavorful without overwhelming spice, and there were clear markers for non‑spicy and lactose‑free options, which made the meal accessible to everyone in our group. Each bite showcased fresh ingredients and thoughtful seasoning, from the tender meats and fish to the fragrant rice. If you enjoy exploring new tastes and appreciate well‑crafted dishes, this restaurant is a must‑try.
Ahadal Jameel★★★★Had the pazham pori to start with our journey with snacks, the highlight was the perfectly ripped bananas but the drawback was the excessive oil used in it to a point where we are only able to taste the oil and not the dish itself. On the other hand, the carrot pola was exquisite and will definitely return back for it to accompany with one of the BEST TEA IN OMAN.

Gladwin Dhavale★Really disappointed with the overall experience. My family wanted to have Appam for lunch since we were not sure, called them to check and they confirmed they are serving. So we reached there and our service rep was surprised to take our order for Appams. He was old us that it’s available for dinner only. We did not argue but placed an order for one Parotta, one veg curry, one rice. Since it’s Malabar restaurant we asked for Fish fry and the waiter said they have only Pomfret and Sharri. It took couple of reminders and visits to the counter to get our food. Finally after 45mins of holding ourselves from walking out of the restaurant, the food arrived and as expected the curry was horrible, Paratta cold, rice dry and fish definitely not Malabar style. To our dismay when paying the bill we found out tha they indeed serve other fish but the waiter obviously had used his cheap skills to upsell something which was not worth the 5 Rial spent on it alone. Just want to let the owners know that
Wajid Ali★★★★The food was decent and the atmosphere was amazing—very relaxing and well-designed. However, during the meal, I did come across a small plastic string in the food. The staff handled it professionally, explaining that it was likely from the brush used to butter the naan, and they apologized sincerely, which I appreciated. A few other suggestions for improvement: it would be more hygienic if staff wore gloves while serving plates, and using glass cups along with larger water bottles instead of multiple small plastic ones would enhance the dining experience. Overall, a decent visit with some room for improvement.
