So delicious! Authentic and so welcoming. A local bakery with coffee and pastries. Also sandwiches are available. You would not regret visiting this hidden gem.

Absolutely incredible spot in the heart of Alfama! 🌟 Padaria Doce Mila is everything you dream of when you imagine authentic Lisbon food. Every single morning the locals are there cooking up fresh food right in front of you — from perfectly made sandwiches to fresh coffee and, of course, the best pastel de nata right out of the oven. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with some of the nicest locals you’ll meet. The owners, Guedes and Mila, are absolutely amazing — they make you feel right at home and take pride in serving everything fresh and full of flavor. Even the fries are cooked fresh

A very good version of pastel de nata that is more custardy than eggy. The custard oozes out when you bite into it, almost like molten chocolate lava cake. A pity that mine wasn’t warm, so it wasn’t as nice as it could have been.

Wonderful little café with incredibly friendly staff. While eating, you can watch the baking happening live in the bakery area, which creates such a warm and authentic atmosphere. I felt very comfortable there. The café is hidden away in a small inner courtyard, which makes the location especially quiet and peaceful — perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the streets for a while. Go there!
