What can I say about this beautiful Extremaduran tavern we have in Badajoz? It's perfect down to the last detail. The decor is incredible, with typical Extremaduran objects, beautiful paintings of our region, our colors, flowers... you can tell everything was chosen with a lot of love and enthusiasm. The food is typical Extremaduran, the dishes are beautifully presented and delicious. (Don't leave without trying the torreznos, the best I've ever had!) Three of us went for dinner on a Saturday; we had a reservation. We ordered to share: fried eggplant with honey, bao buns with calamari and aioli, and grilled sirloin steak. Everything was delicious, especially the bao buns. The calamari was very good and tender, as was the sirloin steak, cooked perfectly. The side fries were homemade and crispy. For dessert, we had grandma's cake and cheesecake. The cheesecake was good, but I personally preferred the cookie cake—it was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was lively and anything but quiet, haha.
