Great surprise in Bilbao! We chose Ramen Shifu Abando on a whim without checking the reviews, simply because it was nearby and we’re so glad we did. The starters were absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and the ramen were very good: generous portions, well-balanced, and tasty. The decor and overall atmosphere are also very pleasant, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Special mention to the staff, who were fast, efficient, attentive, and very friendly. A great find that we would definitely recommend!

We went because of the good reviews and, to be honest, we were both really disappointed. The egg in the ramen was still cold, and overall it tasted a bit like one of those instant noodle soups you can buy in any supermarket for 50 cents. The ambience was really nice and the service was okay, but unfortunately we would not recommend going there.

Cool space. It was quite busy but there was no wait to get seated. Coming from a city that has a ton of amazing ramen restaurants, we found the flavour of the miso ramen and the vegan ramen just ok. The broth was a tad on the salty side and lacked depth of flavor. Staff were friendly and attentive.
