After spending the morning exploring the incredible Burgos Cathedral and all its many chapels and hidden corners, we stopped at another nearby restaurant for lunch and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We left after returning the food and decided to continue walking through the town. Not far away, we found this wonderful family-run restaurant, full of locals enjoying their Sunday lunch after church — always a good sign! I am not sure why this restaurant does not have better reviews….we made a stop to visit Burgos on our way from Madrid to San Sebastián, the restaurant I had originally found only allowed people in with reservations so we had to find another. This place came up with a great location across from the Cathedral. I saw the rating but figured we should try it anyways. Honestly one of the best meals I have had in Spain, food was fresh, service was good, and atmosphere/vibes were awesome and felt like we were in someone else’s house. Great experience overall. Thank you!!

The food and the atmosphere is amazing. With the Cathedral Burgos in the background, absolutely splendid location. The ensalada mixta tastes as good as it looks. Fresh ingredients, lovingly prepared. It's a tad bit expensive because it is in a tourist zone, but forget about that; it's only money. Rest, relax and enjoy.

Very good restaurant, with a pleasant view to the cathedral. The food was really good, we had “trigueros a la pancha” and “pimentos rojos al horno” for entrance and the best was the main course, that we had “cochinillo asado en horno” that was amazing, very crunchy on the outside! Very vey good.
