The service was quick despite being packed, and the staff were very friendly. Everything was delicious. Perhaps our mistake was not asking prices before ordering. €17 for scrambled eggs seemed a bit steep. €22 for the Iberian cured meats platter was reasonable. The sheep's cheese was very good. The portion was perhaps a little small. We felt it was a bit excessive to pay €35 per person for three dishes and three drinks.

This place is a gem. The food is spectacular. The sweetbreads in sauce are unbeatable, the best I've ever had. The sirloin steak is tender and flavorful, the homemade fries are fantastic, the suckling pig is superb, and everything else we ordered was top-notch. I took some tripe home to try the next day, and it was just as good as the sweetbreads. A must-visit in Cáceres, a real old-school spot, no tourists or nonsense.
