My wife and I absolutely loved this place -- simply dripping with traditional Spanish culture. Yes, it's touristy and crowded. But it's filled with locals, and worth the wait! We could not get in for dinner (we did not line up early enough), but found it fairly easy to get in for lunch the next day. The tortillitas de camarones were exquisite, but so was the salmorejo -- which is served cold, and looks a lot like gazpacho. We did not know much about sherry, but asked for a semi-sweet sherry, and were happy to be served a glass of Canasta Cream sherry. (Quite a bit like Porto wine). The prices

We stopped in here on the advice of a local tour guide. We were not disappointed. The food was authentic, Moroccan dishes, and the service was extremely friendly and quick. We felt right at home and truly enjoyed our meal.

We visited this high rated popular bar on the beach side. Its inside is very small and narrow, but decorated exactly what I imagined as a local tavern. I like its atmosphere, There are limited seats inside and outside. We have ordered its famous “tortilla de camerones”, it is not crispy enough to my taste. We also ordered “tomato natural y Melva canisters”, the tuna is fine, but the tomato is extremely salty. Finally we ordered “flan de hingos” which is pretty nice.

We ate the dinner there on Christmas Eve! The atmosphere was amazing and even though it was very crowded, the staff found us a place to sit. I really recommend to try theri tapas! The stew of the day is very fresh and comfy. Also they have a nice wine list ig you want to try the local wines from Andalucia.
