G★★★This might be the best set up roastery / coffee shop I have seen. It has a lot of educational material (for free) on coffee processing, sourcing, harvesting, roasting and brewing, including a guide on water chemistry. I was pleasantly surprised about this. However, I ordered their reserve gesha pour over and was met with an overextracted cup, totally let down (hence the rating). I have been in the pour over rabbit hole for many years so I can tell this was not a well extracted cup at all, as not even at roon temperature did it get better. It might have just been a bad day for the barista, so
Sara Hall★★★★★I really, really enjoyed my flat white coffee. Being from Australia I have found it challenging to find a good flat white in Spain… the staff at Abyss made it exactly how I asked!! Inside, the atmosphere was chill and relaxed with a choice of regular tables or small tables with cushions/poufs to sit on. Dogs were welcome and while I didn’t have my pup, it made me a bit homesick to see a cute fur ball at the table beside me. There is also outside tables but in the middle of a heat wave, I chose to sit in the large air conditioned area. You can see the coffee roasting going on behind glass petit
Ayona★★★★★Speciality coffee shop, they roast their beans there at the coffee shop and they have a good selection of cakes and little snacks. There's free wifi and a sunny & quiet terrace. very friendly staff! photogenic latte art
Ivan Ivakin★★★★★I love coming back to ABBYS — it’s a place you visit not just for coffee, but for a feeling 🤍 A warm, calm atmosphere with plenty of space and air, perfect for slowing down, thinking, working, or simply enjoying a moment with yourself. The coffee here is, without exaggeration, some of the best in Barcelona. For true coffee lovers, there’s a selection of special beans. I especially recommend Ethiopia Chelbesa, prepared using the V60 pour-over — it opens up beautifully, with a clean, delicate, and aromatic taste. ABBYS is a place where you can truly feel the love for detail and respect for c
