We loved Meson! Best meal in Gijon so far. We started with manchego and grilled sweet peppers. I had the huge ribeye and it was perfect! I think they thought we would share that but….nope all mine. My wife had a smaller steak that was equally tender more lean and just as scrumptious. Meson Sancho is the real deal for an excellent meal!

We really enjoyed our lunch here. I had tasty lamb chops and my partner had the Sea Bass. She said it was a very tasty fillet. Both were served with chips. The waiter has good English and was helpful. Initially it was very quiet, but a party of nine came in to the mezzanine area so it was a little noisy.

Great restaurant! I really enjoyed the steak. Ambiance was cozy. I recommend making a booking or getting there at opening time (8pm) to get a table as it fills up very quickly after 9.

It is a hidden gem in Gijon. Behind the closed green door you will find a charming tiny restaurant that serves great meet. Service is friendly and fast. The place looks super authentic as well. Almost to a degree that you would normally not eat there. I rarely give 5 star ratings but this one deserves it. Well done.
