We came here for a nightcap. It was one of the every few bars that was open around 1 in this neighborhood. There is other nightclubs around there that were open, but we wanted something relaxed just for a night cap and this was the perfect spot.

Don’t expect a friendly smile if you’re a tourist, but the experience is of a genuine local Madrid bar. Only sherry, no beer or wine was served while I had lunch. Tapas is simple but tasty and goes well with the sherry. If you want to pretend to be a local and get some great sherry, put it on your list.

Went on Saturday June 13th at 8:00-8:30, food and drinks were amazing. They are loosing business due to the absolutely rudest person managing the bar. This was the female bartender all the way to the right. She is costing this business money, she was rude to me when I walked in. I speak Spanish, shortly after me a family came in that didn’t speak Spanish. She had to be the nastiest person in that establishment with the way she talk to that family. To management - pay attention how your staff handles people that might be different than them.

Iconic, unspoilt institution and an absolute "must see" on any Madrid itinerary. Fabulous selection of sherries stored in barrels on the premises served in historic, atmospheric environment. Dried/ cured meats & other tapas are surprisingly good!
