We have enjoyed so much good food in Madrid. I feel like an acorn stuffed pig. We wanted to change things up for dinner and looked for a good sushi place near Puerta del Sol. Macao Principe popped up. Yes, they have Sushi, but there is so much more to this Aisian fusion restaurant. We did start out with something traditional - my new favorite drink - a Tinto de Verano. They add on a passion fruit foam to the top of the drink, which of course makes it better. We did two rounds of food for our meal. Found this place by chance and it was a very happy surprise. The food was insanely good and the service was on point. I can recommend the udon and the salmon a la plancha and the tinto verano as a drink. Thanks to Alfredo and the team for the nice evening.

Came in for dinner last night and had a delicious meal. Our server was very accommodating and explained the different menu options. We opted for the meal for two (7 plates) and then ordered the duck as well. Every dish was great and flavorful, especially the shrimp tempura roll, soft shell crab bao, and the prawn curry. Will definitely return when i’m in Madrid.

We had the 4 dishes plus dessert for 23 euros each. They were great. But the Pulled pork Bao Bun had too much Hoisin sauce,so it was too salty. The eggplant with honey was good but a little too greasy. We like Le Macao at the Castellana better for its decor, although it is hard to find!
