We had fantastic lunch at this restaurant with my friend. Monday surprised us and many of the restaurants were closed but luckily not this one! We took 2 tasty tapases each and crowned the experience with lava cake that was heavenly good. Service was friendly and waitress appeared every time with smile on her face. Atmosphere outside is ok and even better inside. Smoking outside made us change the table once therefore a little minus. Overall I strongly recommend this restaurant!

Mijas Pueblo is home to many great eateries, but this one is our favourite! The first time we visited, it was pouring with rain on a cool January lunchtime. But the welcome from staff at Alboka Gastro could not have been warmer and instantly made us feel at home. We were shown to a lovely table by a large window overlooking the square, from where we could watch the rain, whilst staying nice and dry ourselves. The team were knowledgeable about both the food and also the wine menus and able to provide helpful advice. The menu was extensive and the hardest part was deciding on our selection

Prawns gram masala was good but sauce was too sweet (tastes like rice pudding), leek was tasteless and not worth it, baby lamb was dried out. Expensive for what they provide

What an amazing dinner with Lorena and Fabricio…. Great recommendations, very caring professionals. Ivan set up our tables. The Bacalao, Salmon, Pork Shank, plus the Tapas; Vieiras (scallops) Tuna Tartare, Shrimps, Bread, Vegetables Lasagna, Codillo, Burrata Salad, etc. Plus awesome Negroni and Aperol Spritzes. Even the ice cream and Orujo de Hierbas; all truly special. A place to come back many times. Thanks Lorena and Fabricio!
