This restaurant was recommended to us by a hotel receptionist and we wanted to check it out. She was definitely right. It's a must go if you ever visit Seville. We had dinner there twice for our 4-day stay. By far the best restaurant we have ever visited in Spain. Vast menu, excellent service. We tried dry bluefin tuna for appetizer, and it was amazing. We will definitely be back!

We had the ham croquettes, the cod, and the meagre and it was all exceptional. The restaurant is beautiful, and the staff are friendly and helped us to bridge the English to Spanish gap. The menus are printed in English as well as Spanish, so it’s easy to order. If you’re looking for an authentic and delicious Spanish dining experience, I would definitely try the Puerta Caleta.

We were struggling to find somewhere local, having walked everywhere for 4 days!!! This was a fabulous find. The food was fabulous, the atmosphere electric, it was very Spanish and the service was great! Lovely people, lovely food! You must try it! It’s an adventure!!!🥳

Unfortunately, this place soured our first food experience in Seville. We ended up eating the food only because we were hungry and already had to pay for it — not because we enjoyed it. The shrimp pancakes were mostly dried batter with only a few bits of shrimp scattered through. The fried cuttlefish tasted like generic fried fish, served with just a blob of mayo on the side. The potato salad came topped with tuna, which felt like an odd combination — the flavours didn’t complement each other, and the tuna itself didn’t taste fresh.
