The food was delicious, especially the octopus. Tender pulpo with a splash of olive oil, garlic, and paprika. By far the most tender pulpo in Madrid, Everything we ordered was delicious. The only downside is how tiny the space is, especially the bathroom but this seems to be the case in many spots in Madrid. The great food outshined the tight space. Give them a try, you won't regret.

At La Casa del Pulpo, it may sound obvious, but you have to order the octopus. It is genuinely difficult to find this level of quality in Madrid, both in texture and in flavor, and it fully justifies the restaurant’s name. The cockles are equally noteworthy, exquisitely prepared and brimming with clean, saline character. The bread and the house wine, served simply in its bowl, are exactly what they should be: the perfect, unpretentious companions in a restaurant that is all about product treated with respect. I have been a dozen times, with both friends and family, and I can say that what is

Excellent food—the pulpo a la gallega (Galician-style octopus) was a standout dish, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The atmosphere is vibrant and authentically Spanish, filled with lively conversations. While it can get quite crowded, that energy is part of its charm. A great spot for those seeking a genuine local experience with top-notch tapas.

Marcus Watson★★★★★

A great place for traditional Gallegos food. We had the batatas brava, both the octopus gallego and octopus vinaigrette. The gambas al ajo, the bocadillo de lacón y queso, and the Tetillas cheese and membrillo was excellent. The server was very friendly and helped us make our selections. We made a reservation by calling earlier in the evening and when we arrived all the tables were full except for our reserved table. We sat down and they brought good immediately.
