My Review – Kumbuk Café Overall, I enjoyed my visit. The café has a pleasant atmosphere, comfortable seating, fair prices, and a menu with many interesting vegetarian options. It feels like a place with a clear concept and a lot of potential. The Flat White was beautifully presented and came with a small complimentary treat, which was a nice touch. I ordered the toast with eggs. The eggs themselves were fresh, well-cooked, and nicely presented with microgreens in a small ceramic pan. I also liked the choice of dark bread. However, the dish didn’t quite come together as a whole. The passion fruit dressing added a pleasant acidity, but it was placed around the edge of the plate, so it felt more decorative than functional. Only when I intentionally combined it with each bite did the flavors really work together. I think the dressing should be incorporated into the dish in a way that naturally becomes part of every bite. Another thing I found confusing was serving the eggs separately

Pretty solid breakfast/brunch spot in Colombo. The spot had ample parking so that wasn't an issue. We visited on a Saturday and the staff were pretty nice and welcoming. It was pretty packed tho , so do keep that in mind. The food itself was on the pricier side , but it looks pretty amazing. Tastewise it was pretty good , but nothing special. Overall pretty nice spot to go to for breakfast or brunch. Can recommend.

Such a cozy cafe♥️ went on a rainy day to celebrate my friend’s birthday lunch and the whole vibe was perfect. The place was pretty full, so definitely glad I made a reservation beforehand. The staff were super helpful and friendly throughout. Parking was a bit tricky because there was a funeral on the road, but we parked at Torrington public parking and walked over. The banana matcha was surprisingly amazing 😮‍💨 didn’t expect it to be that good! Only wish the quantity was a bit bigger. Same with the red juice, really tasty but served in a smaller portion. For food we tried the prawn spaghetti, naked chicken burrito bowl, and the chicken burger; overall everything was really good and flavorful. Toilets were also clean, which is always a plus. Overall, such a lovely experience and would definitely visit again.

Cafe Kumbuk is such a gem! We stayed in Srilax above the cafe and we enjoyed the cafe for many meals as well. They have delicious food coming in satisfying portions; very helpful and positive staff, we especially appreciate Kavi for being such a sweetheart. We want to come back another time so we can try more foods from the menu 🙌😊 I couldn't take photos of all that we ate because the moment the food arrived to the table, the kids were attacking them, for the good 😁

All of them absolutely delicious. Sunlight filtering through trees, wholesome plates, and coffee that tastes even better surrounded by so much green.
