We chanced upon this lounge after dinner and decided to stop by to relax. Located on the 24th floor of City of Dreams Sri Lanka, the lounge offers a lovely view of both the city and the ocean. It was pleasantly windy, making it incredibly cozy to lay back on the sofa and unwind. We ordered a few finger foods, and they were all surprisingly good! The young gentleman who served us, Dilushan, was very friendly and attentive to our requests, which made the experience even better. We loved the place so much that we’re already planning to come back again tomorrow night!

Nice view and good place for happy hour. If not the prices are crazy for a tiny city like Colombo. Cocktail we tried was colorful but weak. Wanted a Heinekan but they didn’t have it! Mind the 32% on top of the bill. They charge service charge involuntarily and also government taxes to your bill. Isn’t the hotel supposed to pay that???

Staff were polite and attentive. However the cocktails were not good. Watered down and not much flavor. Daybreak Blue cocktail was overpowered by a coconut creme, it tasted like sweetened coconut creme. In the Midnight Black cocktail I couldn't taste any of the flavors they mentioned. It was again like a sweetened glass of water. Another big mistake was that they brought us the wrong appetizer. We didn't initially notice. But after a few minutes when we saw that we flagged a server down and informed them. They apologized and took that to the correct table. They should have discarded it, since it's now contaminated, and made a new dish for the other table.

While the ambience at Flux Restaurant is pleasant, the overall experience was disappointing due to the service. The staff did not come across as particularly friendly or attentive. For example, when we requested an ashtray, one staff member told us to use those outside, while another later brought one to our table, this inconsistency was confusing. Additionally, when we ordered two shots of Absolut Blue, the waiter suggested switching to a local vodka (“Celebrations”) because it offered better value. While this may have been intended as helpful, it felt unnecessary and slightly intrusive to our preference. Although the setting itself is nice, the music was quite dull, which affected the overall atmosphere. Unfortunately, the combination of service issues and lack of energy in the ambience made the experience less enjoyable than expected.
