What people say

The place was tidy to the inch and had a great ambience. We ordered bamboo chicken and prawn biryanis. Both had much meat and were delicious. The portion of the bamboo biryani was great, enough for 2 people. Staff service was great as well.
Visited Indian Kitchen last week and tried the bamboo chicken biryani—it was so delicious with an amazing taste. The interior is really cool and beautiful, especially the fish tank under the floor. Friendly staff made the experience even better!

Tried quite a spread here and overall a very satisfying experience. Started with the hot & sour soup—loaded with chicken pieces and had a nice balance of spice and tang. The tikka platter was a highlight—perfectly smoky, chicken was tender and juicy, and the paneer was fresh and well-marinated. For mains, had the chicken rogan josh and coconut milk prawn curry. Both were flavorful; the rogan josh had a rich, deep taste, while the prawn curry was creamy and well-balanced. Paired it with nool parotta and garlic naan, which complemented the curries really well. Overall, great food quality and flavors. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving good North Indian dishes

We celebrated our little cousin birthday at Indian Kitchen and it was turned out to be amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered mutton dum biryani, beef dum biryani, mutton bamboo biryani, beef kizli paratta, chicken kizhi paratta, mixed kottu, tender coconut prawn curry and varieties of naans. Every single dish was full of flavours and perfectly prepared. What really stood out was how much our entire family enjoyed the meal. The service was also excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel very welcome. As a bonus, we got a chance to meet Indian celebrity Umair, which .ade the experience even more special. Overall, this is definitely one of the best place to enjoy authentic Indian foods in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!!!!

Visited for the first time and tried Butter Naan with Chicken Chettinad. Overall, the taste was good and the naan was freshly made. One chicken curry portion was sufficient for three naans, which is enough for a couple. However, the chicken curry had about 5–6 pieces and all were bone-in. For the price, I expected a better amount of meat. Also, there were quite a lot of whole cloves, cardamom, and other spices in the curry. While they enhanced the aroma and flavor, it was a bit difficult to separate them while eating. I also tried the Masala Chai — reasonably priced and very tasty. For dessert, the staff recommended the “today’s special,” describing it as a cake-based and jelly dessert. I assumed it was an Indian-style dessert, but it turned out to be a fruit truffle. The taste was average, and I probably wouldn’t have ordered it if it had been clearly mentioned as fruit truffle. Overall, a decent experience, but prices are on the higher side (biriyani is around Rs. 2000 per portio

Visited with 2 adults and 4 children. We ordered only naan, Chicken Tikka, a paneer dish, and Kizhi Parotta, yet the bill came to over LKR 11, 000. We felt this was quite expensive for what we received and didn’t think it was worth the price. The Kizhi Parotta was especially disappointing and not worth ordering. The food overall was average and didn’t meet our expectations. The restaurant also had an unpleasant smell, which affected the dining experience. The service was okay, but overall the food quality, atmosphere, and value for money did not justify the cost. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience.

I visited with my friend for lunch and we ordered Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, and Chicken Dum Biryani. The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The Butter Chicken was creamy and rich, the naan was soft and fresh, and the biryani was so aromatic. We had an amazing dining experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves great food and good vibes

READ MY REVIEW BEFORE EATING HERE. RESTAURANT USES AI TO FAKE REVIEWS HERE. Genuinely the worst Indian food I’ve ever had. Having been to India for four weeks and eating some of the best Indian food in my life, I can confidently say the food served here is NOT authentic and is severely lacking flavour. As an Indian who has been eating Indian food my entire life and cooks authentic meals myself, I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. The butter chicken is an abomination, being far too sweet and when I complained to management they laughed and said they would inform the chef. My partner had the paneer butter masala which was also far too sweet, they clearly put no effort into the sauces as both meals had the same gravy, with separate ingredients added in afterwards. This is not the way to cook food, especially Indian food. The naan’s are absurdly priced too, with every item on the menu being more than it should be. Nothing was done to try and rectify the issues raised which is sho
