“Nice vibe, good service. But the food selection was limited and it wasn’t served hot when we ordered some fried food. Bit pricy for both food and bavardages. They also have non alcohol drinks, the hojicha with apple tea was super in terms of both its taste and smell!”
“The best cocktail bar I have been in Asia! Tried Cicada and skillability ver 4. Both incredibly good. Service was top and atmosphere very cool and relaxed”

AJ Anderson★★★★★Fabulous presentation for their cocktails and an excellent vibe. Bartender was skilled and smooth with his movements. Spoke excellent English Only minor complaints are the reservation being limited to 2 hours and scanning the menu with a QR code on my phone. Don’t we all look at our phones enough ? Especially with the photography on the menu it’s meant to be seen on paper not a small screen (considered taking a star off for this but it was other wise excellent)

Jack C Sung★★★★I would give Moonrock a solid four-star rating. The bar is clearly inventive, especially when it comes to its cocktails. I ordered four drinks, and while each one was creative and had a fun, gimmicky flair, they didn’t quite hit the mark for me in terms of flavor. I tend to prefer drinks that prioritize taste over concept. That said, it’s easy to see why the bar has received numerous awards, and I can understand why others might find the experience exciting and memorable. The food, however, was a pleasant surprise. It was well above average and genuinely excellent. If the drinks had matched the quality and deliciousness of the food, this would have easily been a five-star experience.
P K★★★★We had heard good things about Moonrock Bar, and while the drinks themselves were good, the overall experience didn’t quite live up to other bars we’ve visited in Tainan. The atmosphere felt a bit rigid and lacking warmth, technically fine, but missing that sense of soul or ease that makes you want to stay longer. Booking was also frustrating. We called to reserve for a group of 8 on a Monday night and were told the maximum was 6, and that separate tables weren’t possible. However, when we called back as two separate groups, we were suddenly able to secure two tables, despite being told earlier there was no space. It left us feeling a bit put off. Decent drinks, but the experience and flexibility didn’t match the quality of other bars in the city. Our favourite drinks were: Skillability ver. 4 Moondust Mehita

Glara Y.★★★★★We visited this bar on our second night in Tainan and were met with an unexpected sense of ease. The owner-bartender welcomed us in English the moment we stepped in, even remembering the note about our anniversary. He checked in just enough, sharing small parts of the bar’s story - the way each element comes together through collaborations with designers, photographers, and roasters. The space itself was warm and modern, the kind of room that feels thoughtfully put together without trying too hard. At some point, I realised I felt unusually at home for a place I had never been to. Maybe it was the atmosphere, maybe it was the way we were looked after. By the time we left, what stayed with me wasn’t just the visit but the quiet feeling of belonging the place managed to create.
Melvin Chan★★★★★IG :@melvineateat 9/10 $$ (2000 per pax) Think this has got to be one of the best cocktail bars I’ve tried. Very experimental but many of the cocktails have perfected their taste, balance and uniqueness. Food is very enjoyable and does not disrupt the taste of the cocktails as well. For drinks while I like them all, in particular I liked the flame, which is a prayer whisky based contain with bacon flavour For food all is good as well but I liked the Foie Gras Ravioli in chicken consommé.
Abby★★★★★Hands down one of the best bars I have ever been in the world. We heard nothing but good things about this place from friends that visited Tainan, and quickly made an online reservation. I hesitate to write a review, because it is honestly hard enough to get a reservation and is the kind of place you’d want to keep for yourself :) Even on a typical Monday night, it was packed (all seats full, but the right amount of coziness without people standing around). We planned on having only a few drinks, but ended up trying seven cocktails - all of which were delicious with innovative tasting notes and flavors. My personal favorite was the poem m, but I’ve heard that they create new cocktail menus every 1-2 years. Bartenders were friendly with great conversation; interior decor was a mix of modern and grandiose elegance; bathroom was clean. Would recommend 1000% to anyone who wants an amazing cocktail in the alleys of Tainan. 寶藏名單的酒吧 ❤️
