“Best food in Paje so far. Truly authentic place, the owners are very kind people, the food is amazing and the portions were very big. Even the google maps says it closes at 10pm, we went there at 9:45 and they stayed open until we were finished at 11pm.”
“Fantastic local place. Wonderful seafood and others. We had a nice chat with the owner. Tuna tartar was delicious as well as grilled octopus and local octopus curry. Highly recommended place. Fresh food, local vibe and very friendly people. Greets to Chamu!”
“A fantastic local restaurant in Zanzibar! The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors and very fresh. We tried tuna steak and tuna curry with rice — both dishes were excellent, rich, aromatic, and truly delicious. Highly recommended if you want to experience real local cuisine.”

Vaishnav Suresh★★★★★The best swahili cuisine I've had the pleasure of experiencing in Zanzibar bar none! It's my second visit to the island and I've been here a little over a month this time. As someone who has exclusively had local food in my time here, I would rate this place an easy #1. Delicious food, excellently flavoured dishes, generous portions and made fresh to order. Service was characteristically slow but I have no complaints given how fresh the food was. Will definitely be back for more. We had the mixed seafood and octopus. I'm sure the grilled food is great but definitely give the curries a try. A must visit for anyone who enjoys authentic swahili food/fresh seafood.
andrada beloia★★★★★Great place with lovely food. Definitely tourists go there and not the locals. Ive only seen tourists both times i was there.but its in a great location, close to the beach, but in the local neoghbourhood. Bathroom is local but clean and had no issue using jt. Staff is friendly and smiling always. They have musicians who come sometimes to colour the atmosphere. Kitties stay along for scrapa of food, but thats everywhere on the island.I really reccommend it.

Maciek R★★★★★Absolute gem in Paje! The lady running the restaurant was very attentive, helpful and provided us with immaculate service. The place offers great food and very affordable cost. We tried tuna tartare, grilled octopus, vegetable curry, grilled calamaris. Food was absolutely delicious, hence why we return twice there. As food has been prepared fresh, there is obviously a bit of wait time. We’ve also experienced there twice live music with very talented young chap playing guitar and singing. Highly recommended place for local and authentic Zanzibari cuisine.
Franciska Anna Pataki★★★★★Authentic local restaurant with good prices and portions, wide variety of menu so you have more international options too. Staff was very friendly and welcoming!
Alexander Petzhold★★★★★Came here first because of good reviews, came twice because of great food Had the best seafood in Zanzibar (jumbo prawns, calamari, lobster), fresh, well cooked and well seasoned. Good prices (half to 1/3 cheaper than most other places when you consider the amount of food that comes), generous amount, kind service, easy communication in english. Very simple, unassuming, and laid back place, not in front of the beach. A bit on the slow side (we were the first customers and still the order took almost 1 hour), so don’t go on a rush.
