Roman Ricardo Pota★★★★★Honestly, I wish I had discovered this place earlier — it’s a bit of a hidden gem. Everything just feels right here. The atmosphere, the music, the service. You can tell there’s a lot of attention to detail, even in the menu design, which is clear and very appealing. I started with hummus, which was excellent — super creamy, rich, and very authentic. I also received a complimentary mezze platter, which was a really nice surprise and added a lot to the experience. At first, the prices seemed a bit higher, but once the food arrived, it made sense. The portions are generous — my main dish could easily be two meals. I had the recommended chicken with rice, lentils, and okra. The seasoning was great, especially the rice with a subtle cinnamon note. The chicken itself was good and well-seasoned, but compared to everything else, it didn’t stand out as much. That said, I was already quite full before it even arrived, so that probably influenced my impression. Overall, everything felt very
Jezamine Khoo★★★We read about Ogen in one of the blogs online as top restaurants to try in Hua Hin. We always like Indian, middle eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. So for one of our lunch, we decided to give Ogen a try. We reached early and managed to park our car as the restaurant has a dedicated parking area for their customers which is a plus point as parking can be tough in the city. After ordering, we were surprised by the platter of salads that whet our appetite. I ordered a chicken skewer set while my daughter ordered a chicken kebab. Both these dishes taste great and the pita bread was so soft. The dish that my hubby was waiting was the Chicken Mansaf (Basmati Rice with Chicken Thigh) that we were asked to wait at least 15mins for. Our expectation was high but when it arrived and we bite into it, we were utterly disappointed. Firstly the rice was very bland and then we ate the chicken and it was extremely salty. It was 2 extremes. The chicken meat was also overly cooked and it was not tender
Traveling Artist★★★★★Absolutely amazing restaurant!! Service was spectacular, quality and presentation of food was outstanding and the flavours were excellent. Great menu! Lovely atmosphere and a really nice, welcoming space. Can’t wait to go back soon! Oh and the complimentary chicken soup and challah because it was a Friday was such a surprise and extremely comforting, reminds me of my childhood. I’d recommend the chicken livers and hearts but everything was super!
Moo Krasin★★★★★A must-visit in Hua Hin! The food at Ogen is incredibly authentic and flavorful—you can tell they really care about the quality. Even though the place was buzzing and crowded with guests, the atmosphere remained friendly and welcoming. The staff were super attentive and went out of their way to make sure we were well-served. We’ll definitely be back!
