We are regular customers at Carluccio’s, but were extremely disappointed with our experience on this occasion; completely due to the attitude of the waitress. Who was rude, angry and confrontational. A simple request for a certain table due to my hearing problem was met with an obstinate attitude, at one point whilst speaking with our waiter she charged across the restaurant to our table to continue with her outburst. Our male waiter was very apologetic. Good, friendly customer service costs nothing, and sadly it was completely lacking by her on this occasion, so we left.

Tuesday evening, nice and quiet at 6:30pm. Had the pasta meal deal and really enjoyed dinner of giant penne pasta with courgettes and chilli and crispy spinach balls followed by 3 mini doughnuts filled with pistachio and white chocolate and a green tea. Great service from friendly waiter.

Possibly the worst experience I've ever had. Myself and family came here for lunch Monday afternoon. It was dead quiet, yet after sitting for nearly 20 minutes the waitress came and took our order. We ordered from the set menu. The starter came first and was delicious. But after this we waited over an hour for our mains and they obviously forgot as the waitress came back over and asked if we'd had our starters yet?! We then received our mains which was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. It was some watered down poor excuse for spaghetti with hardly any sauce and not much in the bowl (pic for reference). W

The food was very poor. What a shame as Carluccios used to be really good. I also hadn’t finished eating and had a mouthful of food when the waiter whipped away my plate and asked if I wanted desert or coffee. It was very quiet so there was no reason to rush me.
