Oppio Lounge is a large restaurant/cafe/bar from the Loungers chain, located in Altrincham town centre. The interior is bright, welcoming and comfortable and is set over two floors. There’s plenty of space! If heading here via public transport, Altrincham Interchange, which includes bus, tram and rail services, is a couple of minutes’ walk away. I first visited Oppio, not long after they opened in 2023 and left slightly disappointed. Things have got a lot better recently, and I had a nice time here during my most recent visit in April 2026. It used to be a good place, but now it’s really disappointing. The tables and floors were dirty and sticky, and the toilets upstairs smelled strongly of urine. Even the coffee tasted off and undone eggs. Such a shame, because it used to be nice, but now it feels more like a Wetherspoons.

Oppio Lounge in Altrincham looks fantastic. You eat with your eyes first here, and my eyeballs were absolutely feasting. Window seats for days, décor is clean, stylish, well thought out. Whoever signed off on the interior knew exactly what they were doing. It’s one of those places where you sit down and think, yeah, this is going to be good. Staff were spot on. Friendly, polite, no nonsense, no issues at all. Can’t fault them. Now the food,i went for the chicken Dan Dan noodles. Flavour-wise, lovely. No complaints there. But portion balance? That’s where things wobble. Two strips of chicken. T

Service only 2 stars as you go to the bar to place your own food and drinks order. At the bar the girl who served us was efficient but not at all friendly. The waiting staff were nicer. Food was okay. Location great. Nice buzzabout the place.
