I navigated my way to meet Brendan after competing at the nearby Swain's lane hillclimb on a Saturday afternoon in September. A refueling session of burgers and beers was on the cards, and Brendan duly provided. The Guinnessed I had were nice and complemented the spicy chicken burger I had ordered perfectly. It is worth having your chips tossed in Garlic and parsley if you are offered this option, it really levelled them up. At least I think so, I didn't try a chip without this on as a control sample but the tossed chips were good nontheless. Interesting toilet arrangement here, certainly i

I am always pleased to find a proudly Irish pub and this was a return visit after six years. A busy Sunday afternoon, good, friendly crowd, pleasant staff and excellent Guinness. It was late in the afternoon when we arrived...so i forgive the rock hard Yorkshire pudding and less than fabulous roast dinner. I suspect earlier in the day it would have been great. Next time, I'll try the Saturday lunch, but i will return!

My flatmate and I stumbled upon this lovely pub. The Sunday Roast was great. We both had the Chicken. It was well cooked and not dry. The vegetables were delicious. Gravy was great. We would both have it again. Seems like there’s a fun calendar of events.

Love the Irish music that takes place, had a the beef roast which was amazing (especially order such last minute- thank you for doing this). The staff are really lovely and friendly. Will be coming back again here for a roast.
