I’ve been coming here for years now and this place never fails to deliver Outstanding food. Fish is fresh and succulent, the chips authentically British and a good range on the menu. The staff are unfailingly friendly, unpretentious and the service always not notch. In many ways this upmarket chippie outperforms its more expensive and sophisticated competitors. Well done to the team!!

Just had a meal here with my family. Absolutely loved it. Perfectly cooked large cod and chips with mushy peas. Rounded off with a beer for good measure. Loved it. Would definitely recommend and will 100% return. Also worth mentioning the cleanliness of the restaurant. Absolutely spotless, you could eat your dinner off the floor (wouldn’t recommend 😂).

Third of what will be a regular experience I expect. Photos from the most recent two visits. I usually arrive to take away on the earlier side and during the week mostly around 6pm. Orders are taken promptly and accurately. Potions are of a nice size - not too big. The batter is always crisp and the chips are well cooked with not many small bits. I can also recommend the curry sauce. Service ranges from very quick to good (if they have to cook something for my order it has always arrived quickly and the need for such had been explained while ordering and before payment). Haven’t had fish and chips in ages so we bought a take away from here last night. The fish was fine; nicely cooked, the batter not too thick and not too greasy. However the chips were insipid and soggy in fact dreadful. My husband had asked the woman serving if we could have some that were either a bit more crispy and a little more cooked. Another woman who was serving interjected and said “there’s only one type, anyway we double cook them” - so no. I’m afraid we binned them. It’s a shame because they’re supposed to serve good fish and CHIPS. I’d buy the fish again but definitely not their ch
