Visited the Griffin recently and overall had a good experience. It’s a nice place and easy to get to, which makes it a convenient option. It was fairly busy when we went — likely due to the good weather — so service was a little on the slower side at times. That said, it was understandable given how busy it was, and the staff remained friendly and welcoming throughout. The food itself was nice, well presented and enjoyable. Overall, a pleasant visit with good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Would happily return again.

I had a really pleasant experience at The Griffin. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere stood out—it was calm, relaxed, and not overly noisy, which made it easy to enjoy the meal and conversation. It’s a great place if you’re looking for somewhere quieter and more comfortable, especially compared to busier spots on a Sunday. I went with my two children aged 5 and 15 on 2 January 2026 for dinner. We'd been previously over a year ago with my parents after church on Sunday for lunch and for lunch with friends. Although the food was excellent, the service was poor. The 3 star rating was for Lily, which would have been 5 had she served us the whole time. She attended our table when our first and main waitress took our drink and food order only to never return again. Despite how quiet it was, we were ignored. She forgot to ask if we wanted any condiments, she forgot my daughter's crayons, she didn't come back to check o

Great food and service. Thanks Katie. Family of 5 so between us we ordered the mixed grill x3, burger and fish and chips. Generous portions, great flavour and very tasty, followed by chocolate brownies, ice cream and sticky toffee pudding. Pleasant atmosphere, relaxed and nice and clean - would definitely recommend 😊
