Rachel Holmes★★★★★I came across this place on social media and was completely sold straight away and it absolutely lived up to the hype! We went for the sandos and honestly, they did not disappoint. Packed full of flavour and really generous portions, they were spot on. The rest of the menu looked just as tempting too. I couldn’t help but notice what other tables had ordered and everything coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. The pub itself has a lovely atmosphere, really welcoming and well put together. The staff were friendly, attentive and happy to help, which made the whole experience even better.
Beverly★★★★We were seated for our Sunday dinner almost immediately. It was very busy. Drinks came quickly but the food took ages. I had the beef and my partner ordered the 3 meats. We were really disappointed that literally 3 slices of different protein sat on his plate, as everywhere else he's ordered a trio of meat, there are literally 2 slices of each meat on the plate, as it's an expensive meal to order. On my plate we're 3 slices of thick beautiful melt in your mouth beef so we basically had the same amount of protein. It felt like we'd been ripped off to be honest. Everything else was superb. One
John James (Geordie Geezer)★★★★★We were recommended by a relative to try this place and we were not disappointed, its obviously popular as it was 12:30 on a Friday and the place was almost full.. The owner Papa Joe was very welcoming and brought a plush high chair and toys for our infant. The range of meals available was astounding, they are a little pricier than pub chain meals but to be fair they were all restaurant quality and were beautifully cooked. The only adverse comment I would make is that the side salads (lettuce and tomato) were rather bland. Plenty of staff around and they were all friendly and attentive. Al
tiny lily★★★★★We stopped here for a late lunch on the way home from a wedding. We weren't really sure what to expect and we were delighted. Friendly service and possibly the best Sunday pub lunch we have ever had. Well cooked, lots of veg, nice gravy (with an extra jug provided automatically) - great find and really recommended.
