I'm assuming this place has changed hands... We used to travel quite a distance to visit the Liberty Bell - the food was always delicious with a varied menu (as other photos show) amazing cakes and pizzas to die for. A particular favourite of mine was the fish and chip butty, which was made with such flair and attention that it surprised you every time with fresh chunky fish goujons in batter, hand-smashed fresh peas, handmade tartar sauce and soft fresh bread. Well... when we were in the area again today I skipped in to Liberty Bell with excitement, only to be so disappointed at the change. T

Been a couple of times when I am in Birkenhead to see friends - lovely place, great coffee and great food. Seriously recommend, it’s a must if you are in Birkenhead. Plus, if you are so inclined, the majority of the cakes are vegan (not a vegan myself, but the cake I had was amazing!) and in very generous portions

Only stopped briefly for a take away coffee, late in the afternoon (3pm maybe). No cakes out, but menu looks nice. Chai latte was nice. Looks like a nice place
