F★★★★Delicious wines, menu a bit tricky. As I’m coeliac needed gluten free things . There were no gf crackers or bread available to have with cheeses and some of the cheeses were not gf!! Very strange ! but I did find 6 cheeses we could share. These were delicious though a bit cold. On a Saturday late afternoon I’d think a place mainly serving good cheese would know to have the cheese out of the fridge in advance.
Leaburn★★★Was busy in this wine bar/French restaurant. It seems primarily made for wine and cheese with a decent selection of both. We tried the food but the options were very sparse for a proper meal and whilst it was fine, it was not spectacularly so. The service was friendly enough but not attentive enough. Atmosphere was pretty good overall. The prices were a bit steep given size of portions.
Stephen Reid★Bank holiday Sunday visit, with live music - which was great. Service was disinterested, verging on surly, wine was ok, almonds were very old and wisened. This is the last time I try this place, it has such promise, but the last two times I visited was very similar. I’ll be spending my money in the new wine bar around the corner before ever returning here!
Rico Razzo★★★it’s a nice place and there’s a bit of a buzz there, wine range good but only two or three bottled beers. The food is a bit mixed though, the cheese tho a good sized portion was cold - for a place selling cheese plates the cheese should really be room temperature… beef bourginon was pretty good - the beef was super tender. Croquettes were a bit middle of the road. Nice place to while away a few hours tho.
