Curly Sue★★★★★Even though this little Gem is situated on the dusty road of Mile End you wouldn't think it once entering the threshold. The front garden is a sun trap! Service is nice and easy too. The option to barcode or go to the end of the bar. Once you order a drink your drinks tray/board is actually the menu! The food was quick and we didnt wait long at all... everything felt fresh and handmade. I went with a duck curry and the starter for one. My partner ordered extra prawn toast once he tasted it on my starters! The price is extremely reasonable. Portion size, well, I could of took home a Doggy bag.
Claudia★★★★★Sunday experience at the Rusty Bike. Nice and spacious pub, with a front terrace, if you want to enjoy a cold beer in the sun 🌞. We had their house beer and it was refreshing. On Sunday the kitchen is open all day and it serves outstanding Thai food. Also they do Japanese food. Not to mention that the service is fast and the food very tasty. During the week the kitchen has a different schedule, so if you plan to go there for food make sure you call them to find out the time when they serve food.
Faye Wang★★★★Some pubs you visit once. Some pubs you end up returning to without planning. This feels like the second kind. Came here with my husband to watch the Six Nations — and it turned out to be exactly the kind of place you want for that. The atmosphere feels very local London. A mix of regulars, small groups, and people who are actually there for the game. You can feel it when something happens on screen — people react, comment, and stay engaged. It’s not just background noise. Drinks are reasonably priced, and the selection is simple but does the job. Nothing fancy, but that’s kind of the point
Agata Angielska★★★Nice IPA (SALT Jute) but compare to Rustic Bike in Chingford the quality of food and atmosphere nowhere near. Food lacking a flavour, smaller portions and starters like shop bought frozen food made in microwave. Extra star for staff charging my phone but in terms of service.. from some members it seems very forced.
