Met up with ex-hub in Brighton when visiting from Hampshire for a coffee and cake - well I had the cake. This cafe has been here for donkey's years. When I was 8 or 9 years old (which was 61 years ago) I remember having tea and rock cakes here and apparently they use the same recipe for the rock cakes now which are made on the premises. The rock cakes taste just the same, but now there's lovely latte as well which wasn't available years ago. If it's a nice day this is such a lovely venue and it's a hidden gem. All ages sitting around enjoying the gardens and a coffee or cup of tea. Very

Magnificent and a aight to behold, was really interesting and great atmosphere, staff are friendly too, really beautiful decor would recommend a visit, took around 1 hour 30 to go round with just two of us.

Bird Birdy

Had just bought a drink from here when I noted a poorly bird next to the bins that belong to this cafe. Staff told me they'de be quite happy if the bird died rather than help me get the bird contained. Have posted on several wildlife groups in Brighton and Hove to warn them. As this cafe relies on customers that visit the pavillions to feed and interact with the local wildlife you should be ashamed of yourselves. Myself and a few hundred locals have decided to boycott this establishment.

Lovely spot for breakfast, especially sitting in the shaded area with views over the gardens. A great place to relax and take your time. The sandwiches were fresh, well filled, and really satisfying, and the staff were warm and welcoming throughout. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Brighton.
