This place has changed lots of owners. Coffee is a hit and miss but today it was great so thanks to the girl that made it! Vibe on a sunny day is great . Great for ppl watching

The chicken quesadillas were ok. Staff was friendly, polite and provided decent service. But this property has seen better days. Tables had tissues stuffed underneath to stop them wobbling. Hand dryer broken and no paper towels. For the city’s apparently oldest coffee house - it felt sad and was disappointing. Would have given it an even lower rating overall, but their first floor window had an interesting view down the road - which was a good place to people watch and hide from the rain.

Disappointing experience. The place was dirty with open bins that smelt bad and disgusting toilets at 9:30am. The food for what we payed was not worth it. Charming building for the oldest cafe in Bristol dating to 1748. Outside seating when the weather is nice, and upstairs seating if you want to sit inside. Up an old staircase, there is a spacious first floor seating, with a window seat with the most fabulous view of the entire street down to the end of the road. On the second floor there is an even more comfortable parlour sitting area with books to choose from.
