I’m a regular at The Florence, which is why today’s experience was so disappointing. We recently held a memorial lunch here, and the team couldn’t have been more thoughtful. Today, however, five of us came for lunch and the service was a world away. One blonde member of the bar staff managed to make three out of the five of us independently describe her as rude. Blunt, dismissive and seemingly allergic to customer service. What was even more frustrating was the response from the manager. Usually have a great time here. Entered in the pub on 15/6/26 at just after 10pm. Walked through the doors, zero acknowledgement from the team working, who seemed more interested in cleaning and closing the bar down, than serving. There was one lady with glasses breaking the bar down, one gentleman on the other side of the bar wiping it down. No hello, no greeting. Stood their patiently enough and still no acknowledgement. We were within eyeshot of both team members. After a short while, one of them halfheartedly mumbled something at us, but he could have easily told his colleague behind the

We had my dads surprise party here and it was honestly such an amazing experience the staff were so lovely and accommodating such as serving the food at the time that worked best for all our guests and helped with boxing and serving out our cake and decorations and they are super family friendly. I would definitely recommend this pub to a friend and family.

Beautiful pub with a great atmosphere, we've try the ham and beef roast and we both loved it, great cheesy cauliflower cheese as well. We went on a busy Sunday lunchtime and we had a great sevice, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and the food was served quite quickly. The only downside is that I couldn't use my Green King app, but that wouldn't stop me to come back. Definitely one of the best pubs in the area.
